Llama and Stash contained Can't You Hear Me Knocking teases. Esther's intro contained a Random Note signal and a HYHU tease from Page. Misty Mountain Hop was teased in Stash and Weigh. Hydrogen contained Call to the Post teases from Trey. Weekapaug contained a quote by Trey of Is She Really Going Out with Him?. After Weigh, Trey mentioned that "the Big Ball Jam was born in this very room one year ago today" and wished it a happy birthday, followed by a quick tease of Happy Birthday by Page and Trey wishing happy birthday to "Bob" who was in the audience. Mike dedicated Mike’s Song to himself. The band subsequently included several references to it being “his song.” The Phish debut of Psycho Killer was unfinished. Tela was teased after the soundcheck's "Jam."

A solid Buried Alive opener for the first set, nothing too special going right into a good Poor Heart. Flowing nicely into ATR, which was not very sharp tonight. Golgi seemed early for some reason, but was well played anyway. My Friend was also pretty good, even the intro. Llama was rocking as usual. Esther actually came out good too; the last few have been a bit weak. Stash had some rough parts from Trey and then took on kind of a Creature from Mars tone? Kind of an average tired sounding version with a rough end as well. Glide was ok with a nice long pause at the end. Divided Sky was rough, all over the place from all four members. Cavern wasn't much better as Trey muffs the vocals, so they play around to make up for it. This was a very weak two song ending to an average first set.
Cup was also kind of average for the second set opener. Fall down drunk is right, and maybe that's the problem tonight as they can't get it together for the timing on Rift again. Tweezer at least settles things down a bit. Lifeboy was a surprise and wasn't too bad though it had a weak ending. Then the Balls come out for an anniversary of sorts as this was the venue, not the exact day (Trey erroneously points out), for the inception of the Ball Jam. Mike gets the middle of the set with a good Weigh that almost sounds like a Misty Mountain Hop in the middle solo. Mike's Song is really funny and a good jam. Hydrogen wasn't too bad overall. Weekapaug is unique with the ridiculous Psycho Killer jam in it. The Horse was well done tonight, but Silent's timing is back off a little. HYHU brings Fish out for a well performed Brain. Tweeprise wraps up an awkward, and kind of messy second set.
My Sweet One gets the call as the speedy fast encore tonight. Then everyone gets shushed for an average Grace.
Seeing the over four star rating of this gave me high hopes of more magic, but overall this show was just way too sloppy, even with the Psycho bust out. I've got to go with three stars to bring the average down on this one. What do you want for a Tuesday night, right? Last week of the tour...
